Start and launch
Create and publish your first portfolio
A launch path for turning source material into a polished public portfolio without waiting on a designer.
step 1
Start with one strong source
Use a resume, LinkedIn export, biography, or project notes. The cleaner the source, the less editing you will need after generation.
- Gather the source text in one document before starting.
- Remove private addresses, compensation details, and internal-only client names.
- Keep impact metrics, role scope, products shipped, and public proof points.
step 2
Review the generated draft
The first draft should be treated as structured scaffolding. Confirm tone, dates, names, claims, and featured work before publishing.
- Read the hero and about sections first because they set the public promise.
- Check every metric for accuracy and permission to publish.
- Delete weak or duplicated sections instead of trying to polish everything.
step 3
Publish when the essentials are true
A good first portfolio is accurate, navigable, and branded. You can refine theme details after the public route is already live.
- Preview the site on desktop and mobile.
- Confirm contact or preferred CTA links work.
- Publish, then revisit analytics and feedback after real viewers arrive.
