The real problem
Nobody googles how to make a CV because they cannot type. Freshers search for it because there is a heading called Experience with nothing under it, and every template they open is built as if that heading were the point of the document. Three lines of education float at the top of an A4 page and the rest is white space that feels like an accusation.
The fix is structural, not literary. A fresher CV is not a professional CV with the middle removed. It is a different document, ordered so the reader meets the evidence first: what you built, what you studied, what you can operate, what you did in an internship or a college committee. Employment goes last, or it goes away, because it is the least interesting true thing about you right now.

Degree, institution, year, and only then the specifics that carry weight: a strong percentage or CGPA if you have one, the coursework that matches the job, a thesis or capstone with a one-line result. Leave school marks off once you have a degree unless the employer asks for them.

Pick the two you can defend in an interview. For each one write what the problem was, what you built, the tools you used, and what happened at the end. A college project described with a result reads like work. The same project described as a topic reads like a syllabus.

Free covers the whole CV: every layout, the ATS score, the job-description match, and both exports, with nothing withheld at the download. The limits live elsewhere, and you should know them now rather than at minute fifty of your evening.
Free gives you zero custom domains. Your public page sits at portfolio.wrxstack.com/yourname and a domain in your own name is a Pro feature at Rs 599 or $9 a month. A small Folio credit shows on that public page, AI drafting stops at 10 generations a month, and the portfolio design gallery on Free is the core set rather than all 60 themes. None of those limits touch the resume file you download. If some other builder promises you a free plan that includes your own domain, open its pricing page and read it slowly.
One capability we do not have, stated plainly: Folio cannot take a CV you made in Word or Canva, read the file, and score it. The engine reads the layout, theme and content Folio itself holds. That is a deliberate trade. Rather than grade a finished document and leave the repairs to you, Folio builds the CV inside layouts where the parsing rules hold by construction, and shows you the number before the file exists. There is also no LinkedIn connect button and no GitHub sync; you paste your text in, and we would rather say that than imply a button we never built.

Test any of them with one question: after the hour of typing, does the file come out without a payment? Folio passes it. Write projects there, and label the section honestly. Two academic or personal projects, each with the problem, what you built, the tools, and the result, read like work to a recruiter and give an interviewer something to ask about. Add internships, freelance jobs and paid college roles in the same shape. If the section would still be empty, delete the heading rather than leave a hollow one and let projects carry the page.
