Go to your profile, click the More button under your headline, and choose Save to PDF. LinkedIn generates a text PDF of your headline, About section, every role, your education, and your skills. Nothing to install, nothing to pay for.

Folio reads selectable text out of the PDF, so LinkedIn's own export works directly. If you would rather not download anything, select your About section and your roles on the page and paste them in instead. Both routes end in the same place.

After the conversion
Converting a profile is the easy half. The half that gets you an interview is what you do with the result.
ATS
The check is deterministic and native to Folio, so the same resume always returns the same number. It reads the layout, the theme, and the content Folio produced, which together are the document you are about to send.
Rewrite
A LinkedIn About section is written as "I lead a team of six". A resume is not. Folio drafts the tighter version for you, and the free plan includes 10 AI drafting generations a month.
Cover letter
Paste the job description and Folio writes a letter against the resume you just converted, so the letter and the resume never contradict each other on a date or a title.

The question everyone asks first
They should agree, and they should not be identical. If a title, a company, or a date differs between the two, a recruiter reads it as carelessness at best. So the facts match. The writing does not.
A LinkedIn profile is a standing advertisement written in the first person, aimed at anyone who might scroll past. A resume is a targeted document written in the third person by omission, aimed at one job. That is why a straight copy of your profile reads badly as a resume: the About section is too long and too warm, the skills list is padded with endorsements you never asked for, and the roles are described rather than evidenced.
When Folio converts the profile it keeps the spine, your roles, your dates, your education, your links, and gives you the tighter phrasing for the parts a resume treats differently. Recommendations, endorsement counts, follower counts, and your LinkedIn banner do not survive the trip, and they should not.
Free, spelled out
The conversion is free. The ATS score is free. The PDF and the DOCX are free, and there is no plan flag on the export route to check, which is why there is no watermark and no upsell at the download button. That is the part most builders sell, and it is the part Folio does not.
Here is what the free plan does not include, said before you find out yourself. You get zero custom domains, so your site lives at portfolio.wrxstack.com/yourname and not at yourname.com. A small "Made with Folio" line shows in the footer of that public site, though never on the resume file you download. AI drafting is capped at 10 generations a month. The portfolio theme gallery is limited to the core designs, while the full set is on Pro. Every resume layout, by contrast, is free.
Pro is Rs 599 or $9 a month and is what removes the domain limit, the footer line, and the theme limit. If all you came for is a resume built out of your LinkedIn profile, you will never be asked for it.
